Franchising as a Tier 1 Investment Option

Mar 13, 2018 | Blog

This weekend we spent two full days in London in conversation with Franchisors, in addition to potential and existing Franchisee owners at the British Franchise Association (BFA) supported British & International Franchise Exhibition (BIFE) at Olympia London. The two-day event, spanning both full mornings and afternoons of Friday and Saturday was exceptionally well attended and professionally delivered as always – well done to all that had a hand in making the event such a success.

Our specialty is creating high-value business plans, market research and financial modelling solutions primarily for immigrant investors, entrepreneurs, overseas corporations and High Net Worth individuals who are seeking residency-led investment options in both the US and UK. Over the past five years we have been involved in over $650M of inward investment to the US and have delivered 400+ premium business plans for our clients. Just over a year ago, we launched in the UK market and have already developed many plans for several start-ups under T1 (Ent) and Sole Reps.

Over the past 12 months, we have also seen how franchising opportunities have come to represent a growing preference for many investors seeking to secure a new business presence in the US through the E2 and EB-5 Direct investment visa processes. In the last six months alone we have helped overseas investors establish over 50 franchise outlets across the United States, working with major brands such as Papa Johns, Dunkin Donuts, Tutor Doctor and Checkers & Rally’s.

Recent research and attending the BIFE in London has shown us that genuine opportunities also exist in the UK market through the Tier 1 visa route, especially for those higher value start-up franchise brands given the current minimum investment level for Tier 1 entrepreneurs being set at £200,000.

Unlike many of our competitors that adopt a policy of simply regurgitating templates with little empathy for the ultimate ambitions of clients, we take a much more individual approach to business planning. Combining attention to detail and unrivalled expertise across a number of sectors, with exceptional market analysis and feasibility studies, we present a uniquely insightful and personalised business plan that strives to provide the necessary tools, information, confidence and strategies to help clients achieve their goals and objectives.
